1. Acceptance and authority
By creating an account or using MyBrightPatha, an adult user agrees to these terms and confirms they have authority to act in their selected role. A parent, guardian, teacher, or school authorizing student use is responsible for providing appropriate supervision and consent.
2. Educational purpose
MyBrightPatha provides curriculum-connected tutorials, practice, assignments, reporting, and learning support. It supplements professional instruction and family support; it does not replace a qualified educator, official school record, professional assessment, or emergency service.
3. Accounts
Users must provide accurate information, protect credentials, use only accounts they are authorized to access, and notify us of suspected compromise. Adult users are responsible for student accounts and relationships they create or approve. Student IDs must not impersonate another person or reveal unnecessary personal information.
4. Acceptable use
Users must not harass others, submit unlawful or harmful material, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with security, scrape or overload the service, introduce malicious code, misuse AI features, falsify educational evidence, or infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights.
5. Curriculum and content status
Curriculum sources, versions, drafts, field-testing materials, and publication status are identified where available. Users must consult the applicable official authority when a definitive curriculum statement is required. Generated practice and AI responses may contain errors and must be reviewed appropriately.
6. Intellectual property
MyBrightPatha software, original designs, tutorials, and generated content arrangements are protected by applicable rights. Official curriculum materials remain subject to their owners’ terms. Users retain rights in material they submit and grant us permission to process it only as needed to operate and improve the service.
7. Availability and changes
We work to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features may change for safety, quality, legal compliance, curriculum updates, or maintenance. We may suspend access that threatens users, data, or the platform.
8. Disclaimers and responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without guarantees that every result, recommendation, or AI response is error-free. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded. Users remain responsible for professional judgment and safe use.
9. Governing law and questions
These terms are intended to operate under applicable Canadian law and the law of the province or territory identified by the operator before launch. Contact us with questions or concerns.
